[General] Production Plan

Due to some communication issues between a member that had left the course we had lost our blog from the previous year, we have adapted from our previous mistakes and have optimised planning for a better result. The posting and updating needs to be more consistency. This gives us the chance to reinvent ourselves and prove that we can deliver what is needed for these projects.

Week 1&2
As we continue on with the assignment from last year getting off on the right foot, deciding what needs to be done with the level and changes that need to happen. They are subject to change through out the project. 

Planned: Complete Gantt Chart & Production Plan .
Reality:  Gantt Chart, Production Plan were completed on schedule. 

Week 3
If we continue following our Gantt chart and the time we have selected for that we should be on schedule for the selection of Roles and the completion of environment concepts and the gathering of reference materials for our level. 

Planned: The completion of any needed environment concepts and the starting of the environment modelling.
Reality: 

Week 4
The completion of ALL concepts and moving on into the modelling phase of the characters and starting the second week of environment modelling.

Planned: Completion of all concepts and moving onto the modelling phases of all aspects of our level. 
Reality:

Week 5
This is one of the week were its a continuation week of the modelling as we will be in the third week of environment modelling and the second for character. The slotted time for the environment modelling comes to an end at the end of week 6, but this is subject to change.

Planned: We planned on getting majority of environment modelling done by this week. Continuation of characters. 
Reality: 

Week 6
This week scheduled to be one of our more heavy week in contrast to the rest of the past weeks. We plan on finalizing the environment modelling stages and hitting the final week of all character modelling. Within this includes the UV Unwraps of all environment models and includes the start of the texturing for both major part of our game. 

Planned: Completion of Environment elements and moving into the last week of character and the start of the UV Unwraps and last week of the character modelling. 
Reality:

Week 7
This is the week of the completion of character modelling and the second week of the UV Unwraps and also the second week of the texture with the final week approaching for the UV Unwraps and Texturing we aim to have a large amount completed.

Planned: Completion of character modelling and considerably under way into the creation of the textures and the UV Unwraps. 
Reality:

Week 8
This is the weeks of completion for many of our tasks including final week of UV Unwraps and the Texturing of both Environment and Characters.

Planned: ALL UV Unwraps and texturing for both Character and Environment.
Reality:

Week 9&10
These two week are assigned for a few animation based assigned weeks including the Skinning and the Rigging of the character ready for the incorporation into our level design.

Planned: Completion of the Skinning and Rigging.
Reality:

Week 10-15
These weeks are given to engine focused work and how are overall appearance will look in-game. Some of these tasks include:
  • Asset Importation
  • Material Creation
  • Animation Set up
  • Character Blueprints
  • Environment Blueprints
  • AI Blueprints
  • Combat Blueprints
  • Level Creation & Completion.
Planned: Dedicate these closing weeks to focus on the engine aspects toward the finish of this project.
